Think about it. The jews of today still don’t believe he was the messiah. Why would they then? They have always held onto their beliefs that jesus wasn’t the messiah. So, who was Jesus supposed to have convinced of his authenticity? Only other people in the area at the time were the Romans.
That’s why Paul took the revamped, pagan-influenced version of that religion to the Gentiles, where they welcomed it. Jesus was one of many proclaimed "messiahs" of that era who simply failed to fulfill the Jewish prophecies, period.

From a non-christian (Atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, etc) point of view is there such a thing as an evil moral view? Can a non-Christian absolutely oppose a Nazi morality for instance? Or, would they have to admit that Nazi morality is only relatively evil? The minds, guided by Satan, are forced to see things only morally relatively.
Regardless of whether I base my judgment on relative or absolute terms, good is still good, evil is still evil and stupid is still stupid… I would oppose racism and bigotry like yours without much deliberation, that’s a pretty easy moral judgment to make.

My company keeps pushing all the employees to donate a percentage of their paycheck to a big non-profit organization (that I will not name) every year. It’s frowned upon if you don’t. But I already make contributions to my local charities that I think benefit the community more.
I guess my question is what’s the catch? What do companies get for donating large amounts of money to charity? Is it a tax break or is it other incentives?
I am pretty sure a company cannot take a tax break on employee donations…but then again I am not a tax expert.
However, it does look good on the company to donate to these causes. That is why many companies have foundations setup to support local charitable organizations. The company I work for tries to get in the top five of companies donating to that one particular campaign each year.

I understand what a parable is and is used for, but what artistry would jesus show in a given parable? Beside vocabulary, how can I explain the artistry shown in The Parable of the Two Sons? I do not comprehend or understand how to explain. Thank you.
The art of storytelling…it is using metaphor in a literary sense to reveal a deeper meaning.

Have you ever tried to get information on a loved one at Baptist Health-care Facilities? The Hippa law has given the the power to not reveal any information and they are strictly adhering to this policy. If your adult loved one is in one of their emergency rooms you will not be given any information without a written consent by the person in care. Someone tell me how this policy makes any sense, especially in an emergency situation.
Br, that was not the case here. It is a policy that is being taken to seriously by this facility. I today had to get three witness to sign her request so that I would have it in writing and she had to be conscious where they would hear her say it was ok.
This is usually due to the fact that the person in care has requested that no information be released, at least that was the case of a friend of mine’s husband in AZ, he asked the hospital not to give any info to his wife.

The system they have now is that all the different christian cults like Catholics, Anglicans, Baptists, Pentecostals etc, all do charity work separately because, due to their arrogance in assuming only their version of Christianity is correct, they can’t work together. If they were able to put aside their differences and work together, could they do more charity work?
yes.. that would be so much better than separately, unfortunately, so many of the churches are ‘liberal’ today and get into things others don’t agree with (like abortion). and not to mention if it were all in one organization, who would run it? some are pro israel, others are not. some are openly racist (black only or white only or yellow only or….) while others accommodate all they can. IMHO the WOC is far too liberal for me to be party to.

I have recently been looking at this school and it looks like it has a very competitive acceptance rate, but look like it might be well worth the money. I am going to declare my major in biology, and possibly a joint major in chem. Any suggestions or opinions from residents or alumni of the school? Also, is it very highly christian based? I am very christian but I don’t go to church or participate in a lot of church social groups, will that make a difference? Anything is welcome
thank you!
