How do Christian and Pantheistic views of the afterlife differ? How are they similar?

christians view the after life as you either go to heaven, hell, and in some cases even purgatory. The cool thing about Pantheists is that there is no set belief of an after life. Some Pantheists believe in joining with the divine, non-existence, or even reincarnation. Since the concept of hell in Pantheism is utterly rejected by most if not all, the closest to the Christian thought process would be joining the divine. Though, this is still not highly similar, it does have similar ideas to Hinduism and Taoism.

What if Jesus changes his mind and decides to allow people of other religions into Heaven?

After all they are much holier than us atheists wouldn’t you agree?

If jesus decides to allow them into Heaven, sure it will be somewhat more crowded, but you would be okay with that wouldn’t you?

Perhaps you even have friends that belong to another religion — I imagine you wouldn’t want them to suffer eternal torture the same as us…

Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ more important to Christians than his crucifixion & death?

Why is jesus‘ resurrection more important to christians than his crucifixion? Surely the main thing is Jesus sacrificing his life to atone for our sins. If anything, the resurrection diminishes the extent of this sacrifice doesn’t it?

The first death is the death of "Self" referred to by Paul when he said it is given to man once to die (to "Self") and then the judgement and Christ said that over such as have died the first death (the completion of daily "Self"-crucifixion) the second death (The Fire) has no power.

When the "Self" is dead the Being; having been reborn (John 3) and having then crucified daily the human "Self"; is resurrected from being under the "Death-Sentence" for insurrection and treason and puts on immortality and Eternal Life again.

Why does Jesus instruct the apostles NOT to go among the Gentiles or Samaritans?

What charity organization should I volunteer for?

Hey, I’ve got a lot of time on my hands at the moment and really want to put it to better use rather than spending day watching films, facebook, msn etc.
I am wondering what charity I should perhaps look into volunteering for. There are 2 small towns near me with various shops easy to get too or a big variety in the city centre. Is there any charities really crying out for help?
Im also wondering what overseas charity organisations there are that need volunteers?

What are the traditions for a baptist wedding?

Ok, I am about to get married here pretty soon but am clueless as to what kind of traditions there are in a baptist wedding. We are both Baptists and young enough that we haven been to many weddings to know what we are looking for as far as normal traditions go. Idk if it makes any difference, but we are both we are from the south too.

I’ve never seen anything really special done for a Baptist wedding ceremony. They just seem pretty traditional.

Their main concern is usually for the sanctity of the union. No living together before hand, premarital counseling…

Your pastor will have a way that he likes to do a ceremony and give a general guideline. but the details are usually up to you. Often they do the candle lighting ceremony but that’s about it.

What do you think of going to Dallas Baptist University for a communications degree?

I am strongly leaning toward a christian college and I live in Texas, not really close to Dallas but still in TX nevertheless. I am also baptist so the religious denomination is the same as mine.

I would like to play in the band though (saxophone).
I would also like to play intramural sports like softball.

Could I do those things? What is the atmosphere on campus like? Are there good scholarships or is it affordable? Is it a quality education?

You need to visit the campus. DBU is a great university that has been nationally recognized as a character building institution. DBU was also recognized the last three years in a row on the President of the US honor roll for its civic contributions through service. UT Austin and DBU were the only universities in Texas to be recognized "with distinction". It is a place were you will receive quality education from christian faculty who wish to invest in you personally. DBU does have intramural sports but unfortunately no band.
